Made it home from our run of shows. Thanks to everyone who helped make it great. Some of my favorite shows ever happened during the past two weeks and I can’t wait to do it again with Andy, Max and Jesse.
After our show in Wichita my friend Zack from Spirit of the Stairs said to me, “I’ve seen you play many times and this time was my favorite. I know we’ll be playing shows together when we’re 50 or 60 years old. It’s awesome that I can keep saying the last time was my favorite.” Moments like that, having longtime friends drive hours to a show, and meeting inspiring people for the first time are what makes touring something I never want to stop doing.
For now though, it’s time to write some more songs…
