Undefeated Volume II

I started writing these songs in January as part of a plan to be more active as a band this year. I had some out of town shows planned for the end of April and we were going to do some touring as a band this summer. The goal was to share the Undefeated songs in hopes of motivating people to vote. Also, my anxiety and depression have been pretty active lately. Touring always helps.
Then came the big C. We finished tracking drums the last time we could get together before the stay-at-home order. These songs don’t quite sound like we thought they would, but that’s okay. Everyone recorded their parts at home. Ben sent me some trumpet. Max sent me some pedal steel. Ryan’s vocals on his song are the scratch track.
Finishing the recording and mixing of these songs has been a mental savior. Now it’s time to let them go and write some more.
Please vote for Joe Biden. Please. I want to be able to write love songs to my wife and daughter again. I want my gut to loosen its knots. I want us all to start taking small steps toward something better. While I wish we were with Bernie taking bigger steps, I really believe that our world will be way worse off with 4 more years of our current situation than with 4 years of Biden.
